RRBO's Dedication and Opening
Ceremonies - June 24, 2006
The Open House and Dedication was everything we
hoped it would be. The forecasted rain held all day, and we had a great
turnout. Our thanks to everyone who helped make this possible.
The new RRBO building houses the banding laboratory
and research library. We also have room for classes, and the nature center
collections.

Visitors gather outside the new RRBO building as Linwood MacDonald Executive
Director Anne Thornton talks a little about Dot Hughes and how the new RRBO came
to be at Linwood.
Anne reads from the plaque honoring the memory of RRBO founder, Dorothy
Hughes, that will hang in the Observatory.

Guests look over some of the displays inside the new building.

The NJ Breeding Bird Atlas display shows samples from the Atlas field work
and finished book.
